Wow🌈 I recently discovered an amazing city for family trips — Guangxi Chongzuo!
Want to take your kids on a summer vacation but tired of crowded places like Sanya or Xishuangbanna😮‍💨? After tons of research, we headed to Chongzuo🌿. This overlooked border town is a hidden gem for family fun! We stayed at the super family-friendly Zaiye Suji, a resort with a Southeast Asian vibe, lush tropical plants everywhere, and rooms shaped like adorable giant mushrooms🍄—it felt like stepping into a fairy tale!

💁‍♀Tips after the trip⚠
✔️Chongzuo has ❌no airport. ✈Fly directly to Nanning, then take a high-speed train to Chongzuo.
✔️Book hotels and tickets in advance—they’re expensive and hard to get last minute.
✔️Detian Waterfall is less impressive in winter (dry season). 💦Summer is more spectacular, especially from 12 PM to 2 PM when upstream water is released—the views are breathtaking🌈!
✔️Don’t miss the bamboo raft at Detian! You’ll reach the lake center, facing Vietnam, and get up close to the waterfall’s power.
✔️It’s windy on the boat—bring a windproof jacket, hat, and sun protection.
