Ready for a nature adventure that’ll totally blow your mind (and your toddler’s)? Here’s how our one-day escape from Mingshi Rural went down—we chased waterfalls, crossed borders, and snapped epic pictures. Trust me, Detian Waterfall is next-level awesome for families!
Itinerary Overview
Just one breezy hour’s drive from our cozy base at the Lost in Nature Hotel (Mingshi Rural, address: Mingshi Village, Daxin County, Chongzuo, Guangxi, China), we made way for one of the most jaw-dropping sights on earth—the Detian Transnational Waterfall! Seriously, watching our little explorer’s jaw drop when the falls came into view is a memory we’ll never get over.
Here’s our play-by-play for max wow-factor with a kiddo in tow:
🚩 Sightseeing Route
1. Scenic Area Entrance: Super smooth start! We grabbed our tickets (open daily 7:30–18:30) and hopped on the shuttle bus right at the gate—clutch move to save mini legs for the fun stuff.
2. Waterfall & Bamboo Raft: Straight to the highlight! Cruising on a bamboo raft, inches from the roaring waterfall, is pure adrenaline. PSA for parents: hold your little one close—the splash zone is epic, and you can literally point to the river dividing China and Vietnam. 🤯
3. Cafe Break: Coffee and chill! After the adventure, we hit the onsite cafe—grabbed lattes, dried off, and let our toddler recap his waterfall “battle story.” with the iconic waterfall view.
4. Viewing Platform No. 5: Walk it out to the best view in the entire park—the panorama here is the stuff of Insta dreams postcard shot.
5. Exit: We rolled out spent but so happy.

Private charter car all the way! This is THE only way to roll with a baby. You get air-con, trunk space for all your gear, and flexibility for those emergency naps. Worth every yuan!
