|Hiking in Chengdu: The Most Beautiful Spring Flower Viewing Route. The warm spring sun breaks through the clouds, and the gentle wind blows on the cheeks. Everything is coming back to life, and the vitality is everywhere. New green buds quietly climb on the branches, and plum blossoms bloom unconsciously. In this season full of hope, what could be more exciting than going out for a hike and enjoying the flowers?

My friends and I went to Heming Mountain in Dayi to embark on a plum blossom viewing hike.

🚗 Hiking tips:
Drive directly to "Heming Mountain Dayuan Cultural Scenic Area," which is only 1 hour away from Chengdu. You can easily go there and back on the same day.
There are plenty of parking spaces and no entrance fee. Enjoy your spring trip!

Park your car next to the Taoist temple on Heming Mountain, and the hiking trip officially begins. There are two routes available, 8 km and 5 km. Considering the physical strength and experience of beginners, we chose the 5 km route.

This route includes stone steps, cement roads, and dirt roads. The road conditions are diverse, and the whole journey takes about 3-4 hours. If it rained the previous two days, the dirt road may be slippery. Remember to wear non-slip shoes and bring a trekking pole to make your hike safer and easier.

Along the way, you will see large plum blossom forests. At this time, the plum blossoms are in full bloom, and the mountains are full of pink clouds, which are extremely romantic. We stroll among them, as if we are in a dreamlike fairyland.

"Go up the mountain in spring, enjoy the spring flowers, and drink spring wine." This is a romantic tradition that has been passed down for thousands of years. When we get tired, we sit under the plum tree, spread out a picnic mat, and enjoy a leisurely picnic. We learn from the ancients and take a sip of wine while chatting about the interesting things in life.
