Chengdu Outskirts Tour

This hiking and plum blossom viewing route around Chengdu is just stunning.

Plum blossoms may be less white than snow, but snow can't match their fragrance.

Spring in Sichuan sees the plum blossoms in full bloom.

Compared to the plum blossoms in Yane Village, I prefer this plum blossom viewing route.

Suitable for families, couples, and weekend trips.

[Mount Heming Hiking Route Guide]

Small loop: 5 km
Large loop: 9 km

Hiking starting point: Mount Heming Taoist Temple Yingxian Pavilion - Chengdu Daping Paragliding Park - Wushan Township Pear Blossoms - Juxian Pavilion Farmhouse - Return (small loop)

Duration: Approx. 4 hrs
Highest elevation: 999m
Elevation gain: 419m

Preparation
Bring plenty of water and food, as there are few supplies along the way.

Hiking boots (the muddy roads can be slippery).

Things to note
There's a lot of grass along the road, so be careful. The descent on the loop can be a bit hard on the knees.

Be careful of slippery footing in rainy weather. Hiking in the rain is not recommended.

The uphill path is quite steep, so be sure to pay attention to safety.

Navigate to Dayi Mount Heming Taoist Temple. It takes about 1 hr to drive from downtown Chengdu.
