Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine: A Sacred Journey in Fukuoka

From Nishitetsu Tenjin-Fukuoka Station, take the direct express train bound for Dazaifu and it will arrive in 30 minutes. Once you get off the bus, you can reach Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine directly by walking through the bustling shopping street. As I stepped into it, the ancient atmosphere hit me in the face. I couldn't wait to draw a love fortune. When I opened the fortune, the result was not bad. I was so happy that I couldn't help but feel secretly delighted.

I thought Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine would be magnificent, but when I visited it in person, I found it was smaller than I imagined. There is an Inari Shrine at the innermost part of Tenmangu Shrine⛩️. The vermilion torii gate looks particularly mysterious against the backdrop of lush trees. Unfortunately, I just watched from the outside and didn't go in to find out.

Wandering leisurely in Tenmangu Shrine, looking up, you will see towering ancient trees and the sunlight shining through the gaps between the leaves, forming patches of golden spots. The temples are solemn and majestic, with smoke rising from the sky and believers praying devoutly from time to time. I walked leisurely like this, feeling the unique atmosphere here, and before I knew it, more than an hour had passed and I got on the return bus.

Fortunately, I touched the sacred cow 🐮, which symbolizes good luck. It is said that touching the sacred cow can bring good luck. I touched its solid body and prayed silently in my heart, sincerely hoping that good luck will continue to come and that my body will always be healthy and safe! Although this trip to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine was short, it left a deep impression.
