Dazaifu is a must-see attraction in the Fukuoka area
You can enjoy history, culture, nature, and food
In particular, in addition to Tenmangu, a shrine dedicated to the god of learning
There are many things to see and enjoy
1. Food
🍵 Sawawa, a place that matcha enthusiasts can never miss
It is famous for its rich and thick matcha ice cream
It was chewy, thick, and rich, but sweet and delicious
Even the corn cookies were crispy and delicious
It was a dessert that I wanted to eat again
🥖 Mentaiko Baguette
I couldn't eat the mentaiko baguette that I wanted to eat so badly due to time constraints, but it was so popular that I had to wait in line to eat it -!
2. Prop Shop
🧸 Donguri no Mori
Dongurino Mori filled with cute Totoro goods
Once you enter, you can look around without realizing how much time has passed
3. Things to see
🐮 Cow statue Nadeushi
People regard this cow as sacred,
and there is a legend that if you stroke its head or horns, you will gain wisdom and your wish will come true
I tried to stroke the cow's horn, but there were too many people,
so I couldn't stroke the cow's horn in front,
and there was no waiting for the cow located inside the shrine,
so I recommend stroking it there
🌁 Bridge
There are bridges that represent the past, present, and future,
and it is a place that gives a mysterious feeling as if you are crossing time
It is said to have been the motif of the bridge that appears in Spirited Away
Dazaifu, full of everything from food to prop shops and things to see
It's like a mix of Ghibli's Totoro and Sen and Chihiro The atmosphere
It was a place where my heart felt warm and fuzzy
A street full of traditional Japanese sentiment, Dazaifu Shrine
If you are traveling to Fukuoka, be sure to stop by
