⛩️ Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine
A landmark shrine in Fukuoka.
It's famous for offering prayers for academic success.

Walk from Dazaifu Station along the pedestrian street, Sando Street, where you can find souvenirs, food, and the locally famous mochi (so delicious, you have to try it, lol).

We stopped at Aji no Mentaiko Fukuya Dazaifu.
We ate a mentaiko rice bowl set, a famous Fukuoka delicacy.
I absolutely loved their rice soup!

Afterward, we walked to the shrine and to Taikobashi Bridge, the red bridge that crosses the heart-shaped pond, which is another popular photo spot. When we went, the hydrangeas were in full bloom, so beautiful! (We went in July 2024.)

Before you leave, don't forget to pat the head of the cow statue to receive blessings for learning/knowledge.
