I've been to Meili Snow Mountain five times, and here are my recommendations...

Meili Snow Mountain is located in Deqin County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Known as the "Prince of Snow Mountains," it has 13 peaks over 6,000 meters high. The main peak, Kawagebo, is 6,740 meters high, making it the highest peak in Yunnan. It is also an unconquered virgin peak, as climbing is prohibited for cultural protection. Main attractions include:

1. Moon Bay of Jinsha River: The Jinsha River forms a standard inverted "Ω" shape around a pyramid-shaped peak. Free entry.
2. Baima Snow Mountain Pass: The Yunling Mountains are part of the Hengduan Mountains, with continuous snow-capped peaks. The main peak resembles a galloping white horse, hence the name "Baima Snow Mountain." Free entry.
3. Napa Lake: In autumn and winter, the lake water recedes to reveal golden alpine meadows. The unique ecological environment is free to visit.
4. Feilai Temple Viewing Platform: Located by the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, this is a great spot to photograph the panoramic view of Meili Snow Mountain and watch the "Golden Mountain at Sunrise." It is also a popular stopover for tourists. Previously charged, now free.
5. Wunongding Viewing Platform: Also known as the Thirteen White Pagodas Welcome Platform, it is 23 km from Baima Snow Mountain Pass and 8 km from Deqin County. It is the best spot to photograph the panoramic view of Meili Snow Mountain. No actual charge.
6. Mingyong Glacier Scenic Area: The longest glacier under Kawagebo Peak, resembling a silver dragon descending to the Lancang River. The ice and snow never melt. Tickets are CNY 55 (scenic area shuttle bus CNY 75/person).
7. Yubeng Village: Divided into Upper and Lower Villages, it is a unique and sparsely populated area known as a modern "Shangri-La." It has many attractions. Tickets are CNY 55.

Itinerary

1. DAY 1
- Morning: Drive 1 hour to Tiger Leaping Gorge to experience the spectacular waves.
- Afternoon: Continue driving 2.5 hours to Shangri-La. Visit Dukezong Ancient Town to experience the local life.
2. DAY 2
- Early morning: Drive 40 minutes to Wunongding Viewing Platform. Get up early to watch the "Golden Mountain at Sunrise." The open view allows you to photograph the panoramic view of Meili Snow Mountain. Then drive 30 minutes to Feilai Temple to pray facing the main peak of Meili, Kawagebo.
- Morning: Drive 1.5 hours to Pudacuo National Park to enjoy the fairytale-like forest park scenery.
- Afternoon: Drive 1 hour to Songzanlin Monastery to see the "Little Potala Palace."
3. DAY 3
- Morning: Drive 27 minutes to Guishan Park to pray for family and friends.
- Afternoon: Sleep in, then drive 1 hour to Yila Grassland to hold lambs and take Tibetan-style photos. Then return home.
