Westin Desaru - A Guide to Relaxing on the Hotel's Private Beach

Choosing Desaru in Malaysia was quite a spontaneous decision. With a short holiday and a desire to leisurely enjoy the blue skies and crystal-clear waters 🏊♀️, I needed a destination within a 3-4 hour flight range. Options were limited—Samui and Maldives were beyond budget 🙉, while Sabah and Hua Hin were always crowded. So, I decided to try something new and headed to Desaru in Malaysia 💙🥰.

During this trip, I stayed at two hotels, the first being the luxurious Westin Desaru Coast Resort, part of the Marriott Group.

⛱️ Private Beach
From past experience, the best way to enjoy a beach vacation is to choose a hotel with a private beach. This ensures you won’t have to fight for space or end up with photos full of strangers. Westin boasts a stunning private beach covered in fine sand 🏖🌊. It’s just a two-minute walk from the hotel to the sea, and the view is absolutely gorgeous. There are plenty of beach chairs, perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy moments 📷.
