Hi, I’m travel blogger Xiao Man. Last week, overwhelmed by work stress, I decisively flew to Zhagana in Gannan. Unexpectedly, the autumn here pulled me right out of my anxiety! National Geographic did not deceive me—the golden meadows, the valleys dyed in layers of color, paired with the smoke rising from Tibetan villages, it’s like a fairy tale come to life.

【My 3 days 2 nights lazy itinerary】
✅Day 1: Depart from Lanzhou → 5-hour self-drive to Zhagana → Check into a Tibetan-style guesthouse → Wait for sunset at the viewing platform (the light and shadow are stunning!)
✅Day 2: Early morning hike to Fairy Beach → Afternoon visit to Lasang Monastery → Leisurely stroll along the small paths of Yeri Village (all free photo spots)
✅Day 3: Light hike in Runwu Valley → Before heading back, enjoy a bowl of Tibetan yak yogurt

▫️Yeri Village Tibetan village: When the morning mist lingers, the Tibetan wooden houses appear and disappear like stepping into the Shire from The Lord of the Rings.
▫️Runwu Canyon waterfall: Abundant water in autumn, red leaves intertwine with the stream. A 20-minute hike lets you own this secret paradise.

📸Photo tips: Be the most stunning in your friend circle
→Shoot side light at Fairy Beach from 7 to 9 AM, the leaves glow like amber!
→Use a telephoto lens in front of the Tibetan village to compress space, have the person stand in the middle to create a lone traveler vibe.
→Recommended outfit: Khaki trench coat + Martin boots, perfectly blending with autumn colors.

💡Practical TIPS
▪️Altitude alert: 3000 meters above sea level, don’t shower on the first day, prepare glucose.
▪️Transportation: Self-driving is most convenient, or take a bus from Lanzhou to Diebu County and then charter a car.
▪️Food: Must try stone-cooked lamb! The lamb roasted on hot stones is tender and juicy~
