Dirleton Castle, with its picturesque ruins and magnificent gardens, was an absolute delight. The medieval fortress, partly in ruin, still shows off its great towers and vaulted chambers. I loved wandering among the remains, imagining life here centuries ago. But the highlight for me was the gardens—they were immaculate and full of vibrant blooms, some even recognized in record books for their beauty. The mix of crumbling stone and flourishing flowers created a magical balance between history and life. Dirleton felt romantic, timeless, and deeply charming. #mytraveldiary
