Spring is coming to Guangdong, bringing with it a sea of flowers and a romantic atmosphere. We've selected 6 great flower viewing spots for you, some of which are in the city and easy to get to. The flowers won't last long, so pick a sunny day and head out!
Shaoguan Cherry Blossom Valley
Tickets are only CNY 35 per person, and the best time to visit is from late January to early March. Located in Jie Rong Cherry Blossom Valley in Huangqi Town, Xinfeng County, Shaoguan City, this is the largest cherry blossom viewing area in Guangdong, covering over 800 mu. The park has more than 20 varieties of cherry blossoms, with the most common being the Taiwan cherry and double cherry. The cherry blossoms cover the mountains like clouds and mist.
Dongguan Xiangyu Baihua Garden
Tickets are CNY 19.9 per person, and there are flowers to see all year round. Located at No. 9, Balu Road, Dongcheng Street, Dongguan City, the 100-mu flower fields are dazzling, and the romantic bamboo forest is unique. There are many types of flowers, including late cherry blossoms, rapeseed flowers, lilies, and cosmos, which bloom one after another. No matter when you visit, you will be greeted by a sea of flowers.
Guangzhou Yuntai Garden
Tickets are CNY 10, and the best time to visit is from February to March. Located in Yuntai Garden, Baiyun District, Guangzhou City, the 100,000 tulips are a must-see. The colorful lupines, poppies, and snapdragons contrast with the windmills, making you feel like you're in a Monet painting.
Zhongshan Yako Flower Field
No tickets are required, and the best time to visit is from January to early February. Navigate to Yako Claypot Rice, and the flower field will be on the left side of the road. The 320-mu pink cosmos flower field is vast and magnificent, making it a great photo backdrop. There are many drink and coffee shops nearby, so you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Guangzhou Haizhu Wetland Park
Tickets are CNY 20 per person, and the best time to visit is from late February to mid-March. The 3.2 km long corridor of bauhinia flowers is like a dream, and the pink flowers are like a fairyland. The park is home to many varieties of cherry blossoms, including Guangzhou cherry, Chinese red cherry, and Prunus subhirtella, which bloom in a flurry of petals.
