Exploring Hengdian Studio: 2 Days 1 Night 🎬✨
We visited Hengdian Studio with a 2-day, 1-night package that included access to 3 locations (but we only managed to visit 2 due to limited time).
We chose the Qin Palace and the Forbidden City.
📍 1 – Qin Palace
In the morning, we explored Qin Palace. The atmosphere was captivating, featuring a river, pavilions, and a replica market that made us feel like we were in an ancient Chinese drama. There were cosplayers dressed as characters from Chinese series, and if you're lucky, you might even stumble upon a mini-series filming 🌸.
Highlights not to be missed include the wide river, the bridge scene, and the celestial realm adorned with stunning floral arrangements.
📍 2 – Forbidden City
In the evening, we visited the Forbidden City, which was absolutely massive and grand 🏯. Even the entrance was a great spot for photos. There was a 3D historical presentation that you shouldn't miss. However, due to exhaustion from the morning, we couldn't explore the entire area or take as many photos as we wanted.
We visited on September 16-17, and the weather was extremely hot. I recommend bringing an umbrella, inhalers, water, and tissues. Inside, there are hot and cold water dispensers where you can refill your bottles. ☀️ There are also food and drink vendors inside, but prices are higher than outside.

🎭 Main Expenses
- Admission ticket: 1,330 THB (booked via Trip.com) → Use your passport at the entrance; no paper ticket needed.
- Costume rental + hairstyling: 100 yuan + 100 yuan deposit (return the costume before 6 PM to get your deposit back).
- Photographer fee: 300 yuan (honestly, the results were disappointing; the preview photos on the iPad looked great, but the actual files were not as good).
- Food/water: approximately 100 yuan → We bought water frequently due to the intense heat.

💡 Tips & Personal Opinions
- If you're a fan of Chinese dramas, this is a must-visit! The atmosphere feels like you're walking through a real film set.
- If renting costumes, choose a reputable shop. Look for ones with many Chinese customers; that's usually a good sign. (I was disappointed with my hair and makeup 😂).
- Bring your own water if possible, as prices inside are higher.
- Regarding Chinese photographers, I personally found their work average. The actual files weren't as good as the previews, so think carefully before hiring one.
