When talking about Dongying, the first word that comes to our mind is the Yellow River!
This is the mouth of the Yellow River, where the sea and the river meet to create a natural wonder, a paradise for bird life, beautiful red mudflats, and the popular tourist check-in spot, Gudong Seawall...
but! There is much more to Dongying than just this! This time in Dongying, I visited three museums and found that there are many ways to explore Dongying. The museum trip allowed me to experience Dongying beyond its natural beauty!
.
▪️Dongying Art Museum:
I just happened to catch the provincial artists' exhibition in Dongying. The theme of the exhibition was "The Story of the Yellow River". More than 300 paintings displayed the natural landscape, ecological protection, development achievements, etc. of the Yellow River Basin. It was very worth visiting.
📍Address: Dongying Art Museum, No. 90 Fuqian Street
🎫Tickets: Free
🕞Opening hours: 09:00-20:00
.
▪️Yellow River Culture Museum:
The first "national" venue in Dongying City. With four floors above ground and one floor underground, there are detailed exhibition introductions on the cities and culture in the Yellow River Basin, as well as the flood control of the Yellow River throughout the ages and the water conservancy projects in the new era. You can see the whole Yellow River in one museum! If you only visit one museum in Dongying, I highly recommend this one.

▪️Lü Opera Museum:
Dongying is the birthplace of Lu Opera, a folk art deeply loved by the people and a national intangible cultural heritage. So when you come to Dongying, you can visit the Lu Opera Museum and feel the charm of this national intangible cultural heritage treasure.
