Check out Wanlv Lake and Mirror Flower Water Moon in Heyuan

🏞️Wanlv Lake, also known as Xinfengjiang Reservoir, is an artificial lake and the water source of Nongfu Spring in Guangdong. The local economy has developed around the lake, providing a livelihood for many locals💰

The Mirror Flower Water Moon Scenic Area is not large according to the map. It is a tourist attraction developed along the lake and Guishan Mountain. It feels like a small corner of Wanlv Lake, but if you include climbing the mountain🧗 to the top to enjoy the view of Wanlv Lake, it will take at least two hours to visit, so it is recommended to plan ahead.

If you plan to climb the mountain, be sure to bring a hiking stick❗️because the slope is quite steep, and there are not many places to rest on the way up. There are only pavilions to rest near the top⛰️, which feels unreasonable. It should take 30 to 40 minutes to climb up and rest, depending on your fitness level🏋️‍♀️. When my roommate and I climbed up, we saw many people give up because it was too difficult... and our legs were sore the next day, which affected our walking🚶‍➡️

Climb up from Ningcui Valley all the way to Duyun Pavilion, which is the best place to enjoy the view⚠️. Be sure to take lots of photos📷 and let your eyes👀 enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain scenery. The view from Lihong Pavilion is blocked by many trees🌲. Go down the mountain from Yanyang Pavilion on the other side, and you can reach Hongyan Cave, which has many huge rocks. (‼️There are no plaques on all the pavilions on the mountain, so you have to rely on the map🗺️ to estimate where you are... which is a bit annoying😓)

After going down the mountain, keep walking to the left. Remember to go to the end, where there is a free photo booth by a sand pool. The staff at the entrance will give you a small keychain, and you will receive a small photo after taking a picture (no negatives🎞️). You need to pay CNY 30 for a large photo and a negative. After purchasing, you will receive a large printed photo and a photo frame🖼️ on site.
