Had a long layover in Dubai? Don’t just wait at the airport—get out and explore! I had just a few hours between flights, but I still managed to see some of the city’s most iconic sights.
Of course, I had to visit the Burj Khalifa—the tallest building in the world at 828 meters. The view from the top? Absolutely jaw-dropping. Below me was the Dubai Fountain, with its huge blue pool surrounded by skyscrapers… and beyond that, stretches of desert just waiting to be developed. You really get the sense that this city is still growing, fast.
With just enough time left, I caught the Dubai Fountain show. Water, light, and music in perfect sync—it was surprisingly emotional, especially against the backdrop of all those lights.
Why I recommend a layover tour in Dubai:
・It’s easy to reach the city from the airport, even if you have just a few hours
・Nowhere else gives you views this big in such a short time
