Our trip began in Dujiangyan, a city that serves as a gateway from Chengdu to Mount Siguniang. After landing at the airport, we chose to travel by metro from Tianfu Airport to Xipu Station, where we transferred to a high-speed train to Dujiangyan.
We spent one night in Dujiangyan before hiring a car to travel to Mount Siguniang. The weather at Mount Siguniang was quite pleasant, and we were lucky that the rain started only after we had descended. After exploring the area, we stayed overnight in Lixian, which is close to Bipenggou, our next destination, just under a 30-minute drive away.
On the day we visited Bipenggou, the weather was not very bright, with no sunshine. However, we were fortunate to catch glimpses of clear skies at times. The rain from the previous day created a misty sea of clouds, adding to the scenic beauty. In the afternoon, heavy rain fell, making the weather instantly colder, but we were still able to enjoy our visit. That night, we stayed in Heishui, near Dagu Glacier.
At Dagu Glacier, we initially thought we wouldn’t see any snow, but we were incredibly lucky as it had snowed the night before! Although the snowfall wasn’t very heavy, it was enough to create a white, dreamy atmosphere that lifted our spirits. The cold weather and the stunning scenery made it an unforgettable experience.
After finishing our exploration, we returned to Chengdu and spent several more days in the city. However, the first half of the trip, surrounded by nature, made us realize how vast and beautiful the world is, with so many breathtaking places waiting to be discovered.
