My Son Sanctuary is a thousand-year-old ancient site hidden in central Vietnam, and is known as the "Angkor Wat of Vietnam". This was once the religious center of the Champa Kingdom, leaving behind many ancient red brick temple ruins. Although they are mottled and damaged, they still have a unique sense of vicissitudes of beauty.
Standing among the ruins, looking at the reliefs on the walls and the collapsed pillars, it feels like walking into a lost history. It is recommended to come in the early morning or evening, the sunlight shining on the red bricks is particularly charming and it is also relatively cool.
It is about 40 kilometers away from downtown Hoi An. You can charter a car or join a day tour. The ticket price is 150,000 VND. Friends who like history and historical sites should not miss it.
