🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ✨ Edinburgh, Scotland

🌧️ The first thing I noticed was the sky. Even in summer, it hung low and grey in the best kind of way ⛅️ like a soft filter over stone. But when the sun did come out, the light made everything, the castle, the closes, the crags look like they were glowing from within.

🏰 Edinburgh Castle, of course. But it wasn’t just the views, it was the sound of bagpipes echoing faintly down the Royal Mile, a school group giggling, the weight of the walls. The past doesn’t hide here. It leans close.

🌿 Walked through Dean Village, where the city forgets to be a city. It felt like we’d fallen into a storybook 📖 cobbled paths, ivy climbing stone cottages, the Water of Leith whispering as it moved past. We didn’t say much. We just listened.

🥐 Morning at a tucked-away café ☕️ hobz bakery or maybe pappi. A flaky pastry, strong coffee, and the smell of butter and toast lingering in the air. Someone reading a novel in the corner. A dog sleeping under the next table. Everything quiet and warm.

🎻 Victoria Street curved like a painting. Colors stacked on colors. Shops spilling out little bits of magic 🪄 books, scarves, cheese, candles. Somewhere nearby, someone was playing violin just fast enough to make it joyful.

🏞️ Hiked up Arthur’s Seat late afternoon. Windy, golden, everything below looking impossibly small. From the top, you don’t feel like you’re above the city 💕 you feel with it.
