Today, I'd like to recommend a part of my Kazakhstan trip.
This place is called Charyn Canyon.
This Grand Canyon was formed by erosion by the Charyn River, which flowed through the plateau over millions of years.
The rock formations here are estimated to be over 12 million years old. The canyon is 154 kilometers long, but the most popular tourist area is the Valley of Castles, which is approximately 2 kilometers long and 20-80 meters wide.
It's characterized by its unique rock formations resembling natural castles or towers.
- The journey from Almaty takes approximately 4 hours.
- Accommodation is available within the park, including tents and rooms.
- The park entrance fee is 845 Tenge (51 baht). The car fee is 100 Tenge (6 baht).
