City 1/3 during our #lunarnewyear travels was the Enshi Prefecture in #hubei #china.

We’d heard of the fantasy-like rivers, water so clear that boats appear to be floating on air. They were even more stunning in real life than we could have imagined.

Bright red lanterns hanging from a cliffside rest-stop contrasted vibrantly against the ethereal blues all around us. The surroundings were quiet, as very few tourists travel to Enshi. We found ourselves wrapped in the sounds of the river’s gentle flow.

While in Enshi, we also went to visit the stunning Stone Forest, as well as the canonical Grand Canyons. While each place held breathtaking sights, the calming sounds of the most crystalline river I’ve ever beheld will forever remain my favorite memory from our travels in beautiful Enshi.
