March 27, 2025: Tokyo Cherry Blossom Season Solo Trip (5 Days, 4 Nights) - Day 3 Itinerary (Part 2)

This year, I went to Japan for the first time during cherry blossom season. I'd always wanted to travel during cherry blossom season, but airfare was incredibly expensive. This time, I found a great deal on a spot flight. Round-trip flights from Taipei to Tokyo were only NT$8,900 on Scoot. If you're looking for a ticket for cherry blossom season under NT$10,000, don't hesitate to buy it! I bought my flight, booked my accommodations, confirmed my insurance, and even finalized my itinerary within a month. I felt incredibly efficient! 👍🏻

This was also my first solo trip, and I tried to savor every attraction. I let go of my daily worries and constantly engaged in conversation with myself, reflecting on my current state of mind. I slowed down, relieved my usual tension and stress, and didn't need to match everyone else's pace. When I got tired, I just went back to the hotel to rest and savored my own time. Traveling with friends offers the joy of a group tour, but traveling alone also offers its own healing power!

🌟This trip's goal: Cherry blossom viewing during the cherry blossom season, including nighttime viewing🌸

1.-2. Please refer to the previous article, "2025.03.27 Tokyo Solo 5-Day, 4-Night Cherry Blossom Season Itinerary (p6) - Day 3 Itinerary Revealed (Part 1)"
3. 11:35 AM - Sucre-rie, a popular sweets shop in Ningyocho.
🌟Shop information: Sucre-rie. 📍Address: 1 Chome-5-5 Nihonbashiningyocho, Chuo City, Tokyo 103-0013, Japan
🈺Opening Hours
Monday to Saturday 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM; Closed Sundays (may be open on special holidays such as Christmas and Valentine's Day)
💰Average Cost: 1-1,500 yen, accepts multiple payment methods (SUICA, credit cards).
💞Recommended: Western-style pastry shop, focusing on cakes, baked goods, and desserts (not just a puff shop).
👍🏻Signature & Specialty Desserts

Here are a few of Sucre-rie's specialties and must-try items:
1. Cream Puff (シュークリーム)
• This is one of their most popular items and is incredibly popular.
• Available at set times and in very limited quantities. They sell about 70 choux pastries at 9:30 AM, about 130 at 12:00 PM, and about 130 at 5:00 PM (depending on availability).
• The choux pastry is unique: the outer layer has a crispy texture ("ザクザク / fragrant / burnt feeling"), and the cream (or a mixture of custard and fresh cream) inside is just the right amount of sweetness, not too cloying.

2. Cakes and Baked Desserts
• In addition to choux pastries, the shop also offers cakes, cookies, and other baked desserts. These are all made in the kitchen at the back/on the second floor.
• Limited-time items or special weekend/holiday specials may have special flavors or seasonal desserts.

💡 Pros and Cons
Pros
· The choux pastries are very delicious, with a crispy texture and a rich, yet not cloying, creamy filling. The balance between sweetness and smoothness is perfect. · The shop's friendly and cute atmosphere makes it a favorite among local dessert lovers. · Great for takeout/souvenirs.

Notes:
· Due to its popularity, the puffs often sell out early. If you're going specifically for the puffs, be aware of the baking time and go when they're fresh out of the oven/on sale.
· Because it's primarily for takeout (there's little or no space inside), it's best to eat them freshly purchased. Don't leave them in the oven for too long; the puffs will soften due to moisture. · Closed on Sundays, so be mindful of your schedule.

Tips & Itinerary Integration
· If you're planning on cherry blossom viewing or strolling around Nihonbashi, Ningyocho, or Koami-jinja Shrine, consider adding Sucre-rie to your snack break. The puffs and dessert offer a great break.
· It's recommended to visit in the morning or midday to increase your chances of getting a puff. The 9:30 batch is usually smaller, so be quick. • If you're bringing something back to your hotel or as a souvenir, consider long-lasting desserts like baked cookies. For puffs, it's best to consume them on the spot.
