Fenghuang Ancient Town is really beautiful as the internet photos make it out to be. At night when it is cloaked in gold, it shines like a beacon for weary travellers. In the day, there is a quiet sort of calm and confidence that beckons visitors to explore its culture.

Itinerary in June:
Day 1 - Arrival at Fenghuanggucheng from Changsha. Stroll along the river, watch sunset, boat ride at 8pm.
Day 2 - Half day trip to the Southern Great Wall. Rest in hotel. Explore the historic sites in the old quarters. (Some sites are paid entries.)
Day 3 - Stroll more and eat favourite snacks before leaving for Furong Town. 😋
