A perfect place for family fun: Sembola Forest Hotel

Start your morning at the Wonderland
Inside, there is a fairy tale forest-themed amusement park for families, featuring Squirrel Park rides, spinning swings, pirate ships, bumper cars, and a Ferris wheel. It offers great playability. There’s also an indoor play area for kids, a threshing floor, and a Jurassic dinosaur world with incredibly lifelike giant dinosaurs. In June, the hills are covered with purple bauhinia flowers, creating a dreamy atmosphere. After a stroll, you’ll reach the petting zoo with piglets, goats, sika deer, and many peacocks. You can buy animal feed from vending machines at a reasonable price. Feeding the animals perfectly times with the 3:30 PM children’s theater show. Then take a walk through the wetland park—it’s truly fulfilling.

Around 4 PM, it’s time to get in the water
Glacier Water Valley—the forest’s water park. Our two kids, aged 5 and 6, could enjoy most of the water attractions. The 3-meter tsunami surfing ride satisfies adults’ thrill-seeking while maintaining high safety standards, with free life jackets provided.
The Ice Rainbow Slide complex meets family water play needs, including Ice Flower Water Fortress, Ice Heart Fun, Ice Basin Spiral Slide, and Ice Basin Horn Slide.
Our family of four tried the Ice River Adventure rafting. You don’t have to carry your own float ring; a conveyor belt takes you directly to the start point—very thoughtful design. My little sister said it was so much fun, and kids don’t feel scared playing.

The forest resort area has two themed hotels:
1. Forest Hotel—a forest-themed leisure resort hotel, newly renovated with panoramic forest balconies, a forest playground, and a forest buffet restaurant;
2. Squirrel Hotel—a squirrel IP family-themed hotel, featuring four major family loft-themed room types plus family, business, and family villa rooms, with a trendy themed swimming lane and the Squirrel buffet restaurant.

After playing hard, of course, you want a good meal. The park offers four themed restaurants to choose from:
Squirrel Restaurant—the buffet restaurant attached to Squirrel Hotel, featuring Cantonese, Hong Kong, and Macau cuisine. The restaurant is simply and elegantly decorated, spacious and bright.
Forest Restaurant—the buffet restaurant attached to Forest Hotel, offering forest-themed cuisine. The restaurant is simply and elegantly decorated, surrounded by forest.
Mountain Home—a home-style Hunan and Cantonese cuisine restaurant, serving chicken, duck, fish, pork, vegetables, and other main ingredients sourced from its own farm, ensuring safe, healthy, and worry-free farm-to-table dining.

This time, we chose the Squirrel Restaurant. The dishes were excellent and very diverse, with multiple options for salmon sashimi.
After a tiring day, staying overnight at Forest Hotel is simply perfect. The room we chose had a balcony with a great view—the blue sky paired with orange flowers made for fantastic photos.
