The Pulpit Rock Travel Norway Ep.2

🌄 Review of The Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen) – A breathtaking view amidst nature and the refreshing wild blueberries!

One of the most memorable destinations from my Norway trip was The Pulpit Rock, also known as Preikestolen. This towering cliff overlooking a fjord is as stunning as a painting and is located near the city of Stavanger.

We visited during the summer when the weather was quite pleasant—not too cold, with soft sunlight and a cool breeze. This made the approximately 2-hour hike up the mountain more enjoyable than exhausting.

🌿🌸 An unexpected highlight was… the abundance of wild blueberry bushes along the trail! We tried picking and eating them fresh (of course, making sure they were actual blueberries 😆). Their sweet and tangy taste, combined with a refreshing coolness, gave us the energy to keep going. It was a small charm that made this trip even more special.

When we reached the viewpoint, it was worth every drop of sweat…
⛰️ The view in front of us was a crystal-clear blue fjord stretching below, paired with a panoramic 360° cliffside that was breathtakingly beautiful! Whether you sit at the edge of the cliff for photos or quietly listen to the wind, it offers both an adventurous and serene experience at the same time.

💡 Tips from experience:
• Bring good hiking shoes, as the trail includes rocky, slippery, and steep sections.
• Carry water and light snacks, but if you visit in summer, the wild blueberries along the way can be a great energy booster!
• Go in the morning or late morning to avoid crowds and capture the best lighting for photos.
• Pack a long-sleeve shirt, as even in summer, it can get chilly at the cliff’s peak.

📌 In summary: The Pulpit Rock is not just a beautiful photo spot but a "nature experience" that offers a mix of beauty, tranquility, challenge, and small delights like the wild blueberries along the way 💙. If you’re visiting Stavanger, this is a must-see!
