Encountered Xishan Temple, originally Guandi Temple, built on the west mountain of the city, hence the name Xishan Temple.
It is said that at the beginning of the establishment of Shunde County, in the eighth year of Ming Tianshun 1464, when the city wall was built, a large knife was dug out of the mountain, and it was not suitable to set up in the west, so Guandi Temple was built to suppress it.
.
In the twentieth year of Ming Jiajing 1541, Guandi Temple was rebuilt at the current site, and the knife was offered to the temple.
.
In the fifteenth year of Qing Jiaqing 1810, a Ming Dynasty cannon was dug out on the west slope of the temple, and it was still moved to the temple for worship.
.
The entire temple is built according to the mountain. During the reconstruction of the past dynasties, the Lingnan characteristic gold, stone, wood carving, brick carving, ash carving, especially the wall ash sculpture is lifelike, and the ceramic group painting is very rich and good-looking.
