Exploring the Charm of Lingnan Water Towns: A Trip to Diejiao Water Town

Diejiao is a village, also known as Shuangxi. Diejiao Township is part of the alluvial plain of the Xijiang and Beijiang Rivers. Diejiao Township is located in the north of the Pearl River Delta and in the central part of Nanhai County. It is adjacent to Xiajiao in the east, Foshan in the south, Fenjiang River in the west, and the Chan River in the north.
The people of Diejiao Township build villages along the streams and live by the water. The clear streams and green waters are endless, like a jade belt around the waist. Amidst the lush trees, small bridges and flowing water connect thousands of households full of vitality.
The predecessors attached great importance to education, which has been passed down through generations.
