[Shizuoka Prefecture/Hiyoshi Sengen Shrine] A shrine adjacent to the former site of Tosen-in Temple

Hiyoshi Sengen Shrine is located in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
As you pass through the torii gate, you will see a tall sacred tree that makes you look up! It looks so lively!
Going further in, you will find the main shrine building, which
seems to be in a straight line from the torii gate to the shrine gate to the main shrine building to Mt. Fuji.

It was originally a shrine within the grounds of Mt. Fuji Tosen-in Temple, which was granted a red seal territory by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and the Tokugawa shogunate, but with the separation of Shinto and Buddhism, it became Hiyoshi Sengen Shrine.
The atmosphere was one that strongly hinted at syncretism between Shinto and Buddhism!
