Japan Travel Diary 35. Shizuoka

📍Fuji City

Fuji City is a city in eastern Shizuoka Prefecture, home to the famous Yume Ohashi Bridge🌉.

🚇It's only a two-hour Shinkansen ride from Nagoya or Tokyo, so today I'd like to recommend a day trip to Fuji.

📍Fuji City Central Park (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

This park offers a beautiful pond with views of Mt. Fuji⛰️.
It's even better for taking photos than the crowded Yume Ohashi Bridge.

🍜Niku to koma Fujiyoshiwara (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)

A place that serves 1,000 yen steaks! With a 4-star rating on Google, it's a great value restaurant.

🛍️Mega Don Quijote Uni Fuji Yoshiwara (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM)

This Don Quijote is right next to the restaurant.
It's not a tourist-oriented Don Quijote, but it sells most everything, and it's much less crowded than downtown.

📍Urui River (3:00 PM - 5:00 PM)

The Urui River, which runs through Fuji City, is a place where, at sunset, you'll feel like you've stepped into the anime Crayon Shin-chan.

The tranquil riverbank, swaying grass, and the distant view of Mt. Fuji are breathtaking.

📍Fujisan Yume no Ohashi Bridge (5:00 PM - 6:00 PM)

This is a popular Instagram spot. You can take some truly beautiful photos with Mt. Fuji from the overpass.

If you go early in the morning or during sunset, there are fewer people, making for some beautiful photos.
