Found in a cave-shaped cave with a rich natural undulation.
It's an adventure world full of curiosity!
Because it is circular, you can enjoy the various expressions of the cave by going around it once.
The Narusawa Ice Cave is located at the eastern entrance of the Aokigahara Jukai forest, and is counted as one of the Fuji Five Lakes sightseeing spots that attracts tourists all year round. These two tunnel-shaped caves were created when a scorching hot lava flow (Aokigahara Maruo) flowed down between the old parasitic volcanoes during the eruption of Nagaoyama, a lateral volcano of Mt. Fuji, in 864 (Jogan 6), more than 1,150 years ago.
Since being designated a natural monument by the Ministry of Education in 1929, it has been introduced to the world and is a valuable geological presence.
By the way, the tree-shaped lava group in Narusawa Village is said to be one of the world's largest in the number of spiracle formations.
There is also a shop where you can eat Kikyoya's Shingen Mochi soft serve ice cream, which is delicious♪
