Visiting an ancient village on a rainy day

🎇Iyashi no Sato Nenba Village Museum is an ancient village museum with 20 houses that are open as restaurants, shops, museums and galleries for the public and tourists to visit, learn about history and culture, and practice making local handicrafts and buy local products.

🎇This was originally an agricultural village on the west coast of Lake Saiko, but was hit by a typhoon in 1966. The villagers helped to restore it to its original state and opened it as a museum.

🎇This ancient village is near Lake Saiko, next to Lake Kawaguchiko, and offers a view of Mt. Fuji. It is open all year round and has an admission fee of 350 yen.
🎇How to get there
From Kawaguchiko Station, take the Retro Bus and get off at the Saiko Iyashi no sato Nenba stop. It takes 40 minutes.
