There is a town around "Enoshima Benzai Tennakamise Street", which is a path to "Ejima Shrine" located on the island, and there are many general houses in addition to souvenir shops and restaurants. During the Edo period, it was very busy as a place for scenic sightseeing and pilgrimage, and when a yachting venue was built at the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, the image of Shonan = marine sports penetrated. It also became a sailing competition venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in 2021.
