If you visit Fukui Prefecture, in addition to the famous Dinosaur Museum and Tojinbo Cliffs, you should also visit Oshima Island in Tsuruga City.
This island is located not far from Tojinbo Cliffs, and you can clearly see it from the Tojinbo Cliffs. There are no restaurants or houses on the island, just shady trees and ancient shrines with mystical stories. Just search for them on Google.
The island's highlight is the Oshima Bridge, a red bridge that connects the mainland to the island. Just a few minutes' walk across it takes you to a tranquil area filled with mature trees and fresh air.
Oshima Shrine is located on the island, believed by fishermen to be the home of the god of the sea. The atmosphere is very peaceful, perfect for a leisurely stroll, breathing in the fresh air and listening to the waves. You can also walk around the island. It takes about 40-50 minutes.
