Hakata Station, Fukuoka. Try the freshly baked "mentaiyaki" at Myung! "Tai and bean paste"

"Tai to An" on the first floor of Hakata Myung is where you can try the Hakata-exclusive "mentaiyaki".

"Try it when it's freshly baked!" is a Hakata dialect phrase combined with Hakata mentaiko.

The taiyaki has a slightly unique shape.

The menu includes "Azuki" and "Shiro" for 200 yen, "Yame Matcha" and "Custard" for 210 yen, and "Mentai" for 250 yen.

Taiyaki is translated as "traditional Japanese style waffle".

This time I had "mentai".
It has a flavor closer to okonomiyaki than taiyaki, and the mentaiko is the accent.
The mentaiko is Kanefuku's mentaiko!

It's located on the first floor of Myung at Hakata Station.

There is also a ticket gate that allows you to enter Myung directly from JR Hakata Station.

This floor has a lot of souvenirs even in Hakata Station, so it might be nice to take a break between souvenir selections!
