"Kushida Shrine"
Kamikawabata-cho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City
This is a famous shrine affectionately known as "O-Kushida-san"
I was able to stop by on my way to sightseeing in Hakata
Amaterasu Omikami, Owatanushi no Mikoto, and Susanoo no Mikoto are enshrined here
If you go further in, you'll find the decorated floats of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival on display, so even if you can't go to the festival, you can see the decorated floats all year round
On the ceiling of the tower gate, there is a "Zodiac Ehoban" (Eastern Aeho Board), which you can't help but look at. I couldn't help but go in.
There is also a large eye-catching tree, a "Kushida no Ginan" that is said to be 1,000 years old.
I'd like to see it again when it turns yellow in autumn.
There were many tourists from overseas and of course from Japan, and it was bustling with people.
There is also Kawabata Dori Shopping Street nearby, and it's nice that the Kushida Jinja-mae subway station is close by.
It's a shrine I'd like to visit again.⛩
