Friends! The cherry blossoms in Kyushu have finally bloomed, and the next week will be the best time to enjoy the flowers. Compared to super popular cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, Kyushu has far fewer people admiring cherry blossoms, and you no longer have to compete with a group of people to take photos of a tree. I went to a few places today. I will share with you the situation on site in the order of my visits👇
1️⃣ West Park Free
Currently, 30% of the cherry blossoms in West Park are in bloom. The biggest advantage is that there are very few people and it is not crowded at all. There are observatories and shrines in the park. After viewing the cherry blossoms, you can walk to Ohori Park. Ohori Park is still lush green, without even a single cherry blossom. The scenery is a bit like a mini version of West Lake. Just walk a little further from Ohori Park and you can check out the pumpkins at the Fukuoka Art Museum.
2️⃣ Maizuru Park Free
This is the best place for cherry blossoms in Fukuoka, with patches of cherry trees in full bloom. Because of this, there are relatively more people.
3️⃣ Fukuoka Castle Keep Free
It is right next to Maizuru Park, and the cherry blossoms below the castle ruins are super beautiful. You can stop by to check it out.
4️⃣ Tochoji Temple Free
You can take the bus to Tochoji Temple. There is a cherry blossom tree at the entrance of the temple. It is in full bloom and contrasts with the ancient buildings, creating a great atmosphere.
5️⃣ Kushida Shrine Free
There are only a few cherry blossoms in bloom in the shrine, but combined with the traditional architecture of the shrine, it is very photogenic.
6️⃣ Tenjin Central Park Free
It is within walking distance from other places. The cherry trees along the river in the park are in full bloom, which is perfect for taking beautiful photos. After taking photos, you can go shopping in Tenjin shopping district directly🛍️
