Don't miss the cherry blossom viewing spots in the heart of Fukuoka! The Sakura Festival here is held from late March to early April, where you can experience the beauty of the cherry blossom tunnel lining the Naka River, creating a romantic and relaxing atmosphere. Besides flower viewing, there is also a traditional tea ceremony held at the Lawn Plaza, offering participants the chance to taste matcha and sweets in the Urasenke style for a fee of just 700 yen. All proceeds will support Fukuoka city's welfare projects.
Another highlight is a stroll along the river, filled with pink petals from the fallen cherry blossoms, or enjoying the view from the Fuku-Haku Deai Bridge, which offers a beautiful perspective of the city and nature. This festival is perfect for both tourists and locals looking to relax and immerse themselves in Japan's spring season!
