Don't miss Tenjin Central Park when you come to Fukuoka to enjoy cherry blossoms! There are not only beautiful cherry blossoms here, but also a super Easter egg hidden - the VIP room of the Old Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall. Check in once for double romance, keep the guide 👇
As soon as you enter the park, you’ll be surrounded by a sea of pink and white flowers! Yoshino cherry blossoms and double cherry blossoms cover the trails in layers, cherry blossoms hang low by the artificial lake, and their petals fall on the lake surface with the wind, creating ripples. A red arch bridge spans across it, and any photo you take would look like the cover of a Japanese magazine!
Walking deeper into the park, the brick-red Former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall VIP Building comes into view! This century-old building is full of European style, with carved windows and curved domes that exude elegance. During the cherry blossom season, the pink cherry blossoms and brick walls complement each other, blending retro style with softness. Standing on the steps in front of the museum or the side walkway to take in the view, you will instantly travel back to the Meiji era! If you are lucky, you can catch the museum open, admire the stained glass and gorgeous decorations up close, and even encounter limited activities such as tea ceremony experience and kimono trying on.
When you get tired of walking around, just spread out a picnic mat under the cherry trees! I bought sushi and strawberry daifuku from a nearby convenience store, paired with sakura soda, and enjoyed the food while watching the petals falling. The snack cart at the entrance of the park is also worth a try, the aroma of hot takoyaki fills the air!
It is only a 3-minute walk from Tenjin Subway Station, making transportation very convenient! Bring your camera and come here to experience the romance and historical charm limited to spring🌸
