🎂 Poundy Poundcake Factory (Poundy) / Ropponmatsu, Fukuoka

This pound cake specialty shop quietly opened in a back alley in Ropponmatsu. Its attached gallery gives off an atmosphere reminiscent of a British antique shop. 🇬🇧

They offer about eight varieties of moist pound cakes, from classics to seasonal specials. They offer flavors like black tea, roasted green tea, matcha, chocolate and walnut, and caramel apple. They're particular about the ingredients, using many of their creations from local Kyushu!

Their specialty is the "Shakerato Affogato," a luxurious dessert made with pound cake, biscotti, and ice cream topped with espresso. It's visually delightful and tastes exquisite.

The exterior, with its pale-colored walls adorned with wreaths and an interior filled with antique furniture and accessories, creates a sense of excitement from the moment you enter.

The second floor houses an exhibition space featuring British antique furniture, old records, and miscellaneous goods. It's a place where you can not only enjoy sweets but also experience a "foreign time." 🇬🇧
It's also a great place to spend some time alone.
