[Fukuoka Trip] Queues are a must even on weekdays for the "Original Hakata Mentai-ju"

A popular restaurant in Nakasu, Fukuoka City.

I was hoping to eat some delicious mentaiko when I was on a trip to Fukuoka.

It was about 2,000 yen by taxi from Hakata Airport.

I arrived at 11am and waited about an hour and a half before going inside.

Reservations are not accepted until 5pm, so you have no choice but to line up!!

But if you order takeout, you can get it in about 10 minutes.

I lined up because I wanted to try the pudding and tsukemen, which can only be eaten inside the restaurant.

The interior of the restaurant is lined with autographs of famous people.

The second floor has a restaurant-like atmosphere.

It's also perfect for a date.

You can leave your luggage on the first floor, so you don't have to worry.

I ordered the rice and noodles soup set for 3,718 yen.

The mentaiko rice bowl has a nice mix of sweet and spicy mentaiko wrapped in kelp, which goes well with rice.

The Mentaiko Simmered Tsukemen has a strong mentaiko flavor, and the soup is delicious to the last bite.

The best thing was the Mentaiko Soup!
It's made with mentaiko, but it has a gentle and comforting taste.

I waited in line in the cold, but I was very satisfied.
It's a bit pricey, so I think you should be prepared for that.
