Tokyo to Fukushima: A Journey to Cherry Blossom Forests

The fastest and most convenient route is by Shinkansen and bus. From Tokyo Station, take the Shinkansen for about 1.5 hours to reach Fukushima Station. During cherry blossom season, you can take the temporary "Hanamiyama Bus" from JR Fukushima Station. Ride the Fukushima Kotsu Watari Minami Loop Bus and get off at "Hanamiyama Entrance," then walk approximately 15 minutes.

Fukushima Prefecture is vast and rich in natural resources. You can enjoy stunning views of Mount Bandai, which is listed among Japan's "Top 100 Mountains," the scenic beauty of Urabandai, considered one of Japan's best natural landscapes, and the famous flower-viewing spot Hanamiyama.

When spring arrives, Hanamiyama Park showcases not only various cherry blossoms but also plum blossoms, magnolias, and around 70 other types of flowers that bloom at different times. The park offers walking routes of approximately 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes, allowing visitors to choose based on their stamina and schedule.
