Tomonoura is a town along the Seto Inland Sea in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. When you get off the bus, the sea breeze feels so good. As you walk through the town, locals also talk to you, and you feel like there is no barrier between tourists and residents.

⚫︎Recommendation 1 Old-style house cafe that connects people ☕️
We visited the old-style house cafe Arisorou. The building, arranged by Motoyutei, feels like the flow of time is slow. It also functions as a library and serves as a place where local people can gather. The lemon cake and cream soda we ordered were also delicious. We stayed for about two hours, taking advantage of the kindness of the owner.

⚫︎Recommendation 2 A landscape that seems like something out of a Ghibli world 🌱
After that, we took a walk around the town of Tomonoura. The view of the port from Ioji Temple has a nostalgic feel that is reminiscent of Ghibli. The view of the port town while enjoying the sea breeze soothed my soul.

The compactness of the town, which allows you to cover the whole town in about half a day, is one of its charms. I would like to visit Tomonoura again someday, where the warmth of the people and the calm atmosphere flow.
