Trip to Jiangxi ~ Yaoli Ancient Town.

An AAAA-level scenic spot in Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province.

Yaoli Ancient Town was built in the late Western Han Dynasty. Its ancient name was "Yaoli" because it was the birthplace of Jingdezhen ceramics. Yaoli Ancient Town is located in the eastern part of Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province. It is located at the junction of Anhui and Jiangxi provinces and four counties (Qimen, Xiuning in Anhui, Wuyuan and Fuliang in Jiangxi).

Yaoli Ancient Town is rich in tourism resources and has a strong tea and porcelain culture, so it is also known as the "Porcelain Capital and Tea Hometown". Yaoli Ancient Town covers an area of 203.2 square kilometers, with a forest area of 150 square kilometers and arable land area of 9.34 square kilometers. There are 127 ancient mines, 67 ancient kiln sites, 149 water mills, 600 ancient workshops and 100 ancient docks in the ancient town.

The ancient town was built along both sides of the river. Due to its former neglect and isolation, many buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties have been preserved. The relatively well-preserved Ming and Qing architectural complexes in Yaoli Ancient Town include the Ming and Qing Commercial Street, the Ancestral Hall, the Jinshi House, the Dafu House, the Hanlin House, the Old House, and the Shigang Scenic Spot. At the same time, the ancient town also preserves many revolutionary historical sites, such as Chen Yi's former residence (formerly known as "Jingyi Hall"), the venue of the Anti-Japanese Mobilization Conference, and the Yaoli Reorganization Monument. The ancient town's architecture incorporates Gan, Hakka and Western architectural styles, and has distinct southern Chinese characteristics.

A very healing spot. A holy place that is especially worth a visit.
