[Chiba Prefecture] A shrine with a distinctive approach

Maebara Mitake Shrine

𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃

This shrine is characterized by its long approach to the shrine.

The torii gate is on Narita Kaido, and it is 360m from there to the worship hall.

Kamitono Shinsuke, accompanied by the Edo Kajibashi ascetic Shaku Senryu-shi, transferred Zao Gongen from Mt. Omine in Yamato. It was originally enshrined here as the guardian deity of the three villages in the Maebara settlement.

Narita Kaido is a busy road with a lot of traffic,
but once you enter this sacred area, it is a peaceful place that makes you forget the hustle and bustle.
