The Backyard of the European Alps: Italy's Dolomiti

Dolomiti, a little-known secret paradise, is praised by many as God's backyard left in the Alps. In summer, the valleys are lush and green, like a fairyland; in autumn, the forests are colorful, as if a painter's palette has been spilled. Whether hiking or trekking, both summer and autumn offer a comfortable experience. In winter, the mountains are covered in snow, pure and dreamy, turning the area into a ski resort.

Must-visit hidden gems include the Funes Valley, Blade Mountain, Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Fingers Peaks), Braies Lake, and Misurina Lake. Funes Valley is surrounded by mountains, with charming small chapels standing on the grasslands. At dusk, warm sunset light bathes the valley, transforming it into a golden fairy tale world. Blade Mountain is a masterpiece of nature, with one side ending abruptly like a green giant wave, and the other side a snowy white dolomite mountain. Tre Cime di Lavaredo rises sharply, piercing the sky; from the alpine huts, you can enjoy the stunning "Alpine Light" and feel the breathtaking morning clouds and glow. Braies Lake is crystal clear and blue, with lakeside cabins perfect for photo ops; in winter, you can even row boats on the lake while admiring the snow-capped mountains. Misurina Lake, known as the "Pearl of the Dolomites," lies quietly among the mountains, reflecting the towering peaks, with legends adding to its mysterious charm.

Dolomiti offers different charms in different seasons. In summer and early autumn (June to October), temperatures range from about 15 to 28 degrees Celsius, cool and comfortable, ideal for outdoor hiking. Enjoy the green hills in summer and the snow-capped mountains in winter. In winter (December to April), temperatures range from about 0 to 10 degrees Celsius, with frequent snow in the Alps, perfect for skiing. Notably, Dolomiti will be one of the venues for the 2026 Winter Olympics. Remember to protect yourself from the sun and keep warm outdoors, and fully enjoy the beauty here!
