A 20-minute train ride from Zhangjiajie, there is the delightful ancient Furong town. This town, built more than 1000 years ago on a waterfall, is known for its night lights. The views that open up during a walk around Furong are also beautiful during the day.
But if you like outdoor activities, ask the taxi driver to take you to Zuolongxia Scenic area and hike along the canyon bed. The route can take about 2 hours or less if you have good physical fitness. However, I recommend having more free time to take interesting photos of waterfalls and rocks. You will climb and walk on slippery stones. You should buy gloves at the beginning of the hike! And you must remember: after the "exit" sign, an endless staircase up is waiting for you😁 But it is really a great trip! You will proud of yourself!
Ask the taxi driver to meet you at the end of the route. There are no buses there.
