Heixiazi Island, also known as Fuyuan Delta, is located in Heixiazi Island Town, Fuyuan City, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, at the confluence of Heilongjiang and Ussuri River. Heixiazi Island is a sandbank washed out by Heilongjiang and Ussuri River, controlling the main channel of Heilongjiang and Ussuri River. There are 11 boundary markers of China and Russia on Heixiazi Island, which divide Heixiazi Island into two parts. The eastern half is under the jurisdiction of Russia, and the western half is Chinese territory, separated by barbed wire. The No. 259 boundary marker is one of the last boundary markers set up on the island, and it is also a memorial place for the handover of the two countries' territories in 2008. Tourists are basically concentrated here to check in and take photos. This is an important historical memorial of Heixiazi Island and an important historical record of China. The newly built watchtower and two-story building on the island are the new sentry posts built after the return of Heixiazi Island, replacing the previous Wusu Town sentry posts and becoming the real "First Sentry Post in the East", guarding the east of the motherland. It is because of the Sino-Russian Middle East Road incident that Heixiazi Island was occupied by the Soviet Union for 79 years from 1929 to 2008. In 2008, the territorial dispute over Heixiazi Island was settled, and half of the territory of Heixiazi Island returned to China.
The tallest building on the island is the magnificent Dongji Pagoda, an octagonal tower in the style of the Han and Tang Dynasties, surrounded by 60 bluestone dragon reliefs, 56 of which represent the 56 ethnic groups in China, and 4 of which are at the four corners of the Dongji Pagoda, implying stability. The square is empty and quiet, and when you climb to the top of the tower, you can overlook the whole island of Heixiazi Island, as well as the surrounding Dongji Square, Ussuri River, Wusu Bridge and other scenic spots, with a very wide view.
