Exploring Galle Dutch Fort on Sri Lanka

Galle Dutch Fort is a 16th century Portuguese fort with a church, a lighthouse, a museum and other things and which is quite big.

When entering the fort area there will be many people offering guide services including tuk-tuk drivers, they will be telling you that the area is very big and it will be very difficult for you to explore it by yourself and find the best spots. This is actually not true. The area is quite big, true, but perfect for those who love walking and my recommendation is to mark the best spots on your map so you don’t miss them. If you don’t want to do so then it’s better to find a guide in advance.
