Exploring George Town’s art scene? You can’t miss Hin Bus Depot 🎨✨ This creative haven is the ultimate spot for an afternoon full of inspiration, making it a must-stop if you’re into street art, workshops, and indie vibes.
Hin Bus Depot (31 Jalan Gurdwara, 10300 George Town) is open every day from 12pm–7pm. The space features rotating exhibitions, edgy murals outside, and a chill open-air garden that feels worlds away from the bustle of Penang. If you love all things art, be ready for craft pop-ups, local designer markets, and studio corners buzzing with creativity. (My tip: The art corners here are perfect for photos or sketching your own travel memories—bring a small notebook!)
Cool fact: You don’t pay an entry fee! So take your time wandering between the installations. On weekends, food stalls pop up nearby with vegan bites, Penang-style ice cream and fresh juices. Look out for the eclectic container café across the courtyard—great spot to recharge before exploring more of George Town.
Getting Around: The best way is by Grab (affordable and easy!), or hop on the Rapid Penang bus if you want to save cash. If you’re staying downtown, Hin Bus Depot is about a 15-minute walk from KOMTAR.
Extra tip: Bring some small cash for market stalls or art prints. Penang is humid—pack water, wear light clothes!
