Reality of hiking. U look so unpresentable

Site : Ghorepani Treks

Location : Ghorepani is a rural village in Myagdi District in the Dhaulagiri Zone of northern-central Nepal. It is 17 kilometres from the district capital of Beni at an elevation of approximately 2874 m at height.

GPS Coordinates: 28.4008° N, 83.7000° E

Getting there : Busride or Flight from Kathmadu to Pokhora. From Pokhora you alight your bus at Nayapul and start trekking. Remember to get a guide and passport trek card as you need to report to the Park Post everytime you reach the entrance or exit sign.

I had a literally NO CHILL trekking guide. He do this every single day that he can sprint uphill without a problem. So most of the time I was trekking alone drinking mountain water, playing with waterfalls. Drink at the local hill top shop with a view. I can speak random nepali and hindi words so I survived. Most people showed you the post hiking pictures. I'm showing you the reality of hiking. You carry heavy load cross waterfalls and streams, walk on wobbly handmade bridges and get bitten by a lot of leeches. The trek was rated as moderate due to the steep incline , ascend and descend. Hiking is not all glory. You have to wake up 5 or 6am to start and end 6 or 7pm daily. Mal nourished, not enough sleep, body aching and look ugly and smelly through out. But the satisfaction level is beyond words.
